TigerLAN 19 FAQs

1) What is TigerLAN?

TigerLAN is an event that is hosted by Advanced Technology Student Organization at Fort Hays State University. In the golden years we were what you would call a LAN party, but we've moved past that now. We still have a very active PC gaming community, but we've also added consoles and arcade machines to our events. We offer an opportunity for people to get together for an evening to game, have fun, and maybe win some prizes.

2) Can minors attend? And if so, what do they need to do?

Yes, minors are definitely allowed to attend! All they need to do is bring a copy of our waiver that is signed by a legal guardian. You can find it here: http://www.tigerlan.org/files/waiver.pdf

3) What do I need to bring?

This would depend on what you plan on doing at TigerLAN. If you plan on participating in the Halo 3 tournament or free play on the consoles, you need to bring your own controller. If you plan on playing PC games, you will need to bring your own PC. In particular you will need the tower, monitor, keyboard, mouse, power cables, a power strip, relevant cables, and a 10-25 foot CAT5 cable to connect to the network. Please note that we do not allow speakers. Please bring headphones.

4) Where can I find more detailed information?

I know I haven't covered everything here, so if you have more questions feel free to e-mail me (luke@merliniworks.com) or go to our forums (click the forum button to your left) and ask your question.
